I am back in Boston, happily unpacking in my new dorm room. I got these sticky letters that go on the wall and I spelled out “slowly” and “purposeful” above my desk. Hopefully they’ll remind me that that’s how I want to write.

In other news, the new Imogen Heap album is supersplendiforous.

  1. This is an argument with which I’m constantly struggling. I think for me the initial idea has to “burst out” for it to be worth anything, but the only way it ends up sounding (even remotely) ok is if I take my time actually writing and playing with the idea. At least, I make better metaphors that way.
