I earned my MFA in poetry at Indiana University, where I served as web editor and associate poetry editor of Indiana Review. I earned my BFA in writing, literature, and publishing at Emerson College, where I edited The Emerson Review and designed Stork. I have interned at the Strothman Literary Agency and at Ploughshares.

I am the founding editor of Gabby, a new journal dedicated to talky poems.

I am the poetry editor of Word Riot.

I often tweet uncomfortable things for no reason. Whoopi Goldberg once answered a Star Trek question I had, D.A. Powell once called one of my poems “hot,” Matthew Mitcham once answered my asking if he’d ever gotten brunch with Tom Daley, and Macy Gray agreed to brunch with me sometime.

I am available for freelance writing and editing projects. Contact me at dougpaulcase (@) gmail (.) com for more information.
